[From the Book Today's Spiritual Threat Matrix]
In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.

They have wandered off the right road and followed the footsteps of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong.

—2 Peter 2: 3; 2: 15

Many false prophets once started out on the right road of serving God. However, somehow they have become infiltrated and corrupt by the lure of mammon and the desire to become famous. Overtime, the false model of success has caused many young and old leaders alike to pursue the wealth of the prosperity movement.

Because of this pursuit, many clever schemes of seduction have been established in the house of God as authorized patterns of ministry. Many of these false prophets have gained traction in their migration from the true to the false, simply because they once held a place of legitimate leadership in the kingdom of God.

Therefore, they carefully and in some cases seamlessly, transition overtime by slowly embracing questionable doctrine to outright false doctrine, all while fellowshipping with like-minded people.

Wolves of a fur stalk together.

As they progress in their deception, they receive spiritual vaccinations that slowly inoculate them from the truth. This process enables them to fluently function on a platform of lies, treachery and deception without any hesitation to consider what they are doing.

At this stage of deception, the achievement is to become successful, wealthy and famous by any means necessary. At this juncture, religion becomes a means to an end. The process of fleecing God’s people becomes the order the day. They will flatter, deceive, and empower the saints to pursue their own desires with the intent of eliciting emotional responses.

This will be done in an innocuous manner appealing to the emotions of the saints. The goal is to get the saints to subscribe to their definition of success, which is designed to lead them down a road of destruction. This practical threat is a common strategy that the majority of false prophets utilize to make a tremendous imprint.
