One distinct sign of a true prophet is they will turn Gods people away from their evil way and their evil doings. They communicate the true condition and state of the church without fear of rejection and retribution. True prophets will not attempt to be “culturally correct” while allowing Gods people, His church remain in an harlotry state. Neither will they ignore the treacherous apostasy unfolding right before their eyes, because they want to be popular and accepted among men.

True prophets will not bow to the pressures of finding common ground with religious counterfeit authorities to fulfill the good of civil morality. They stand in the counsel of God and turn His people from their evil way and from their evil deeds.

“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way And from the evil of their doings. (Jeremiah 23:21, 22)
