BEWARE OF THE RISE OF CHRISTIAN UNIVERSALISM©
By Derrick P. Rodgers

Christian Universalism is a school of theology which includes the belief in the doctrine of universal reconciliation, the view that all human beings or all fallen creatures will ultimately be restored to right relationship with God. In other words, all humans will have their destiny in heaven whether they realize it or not.

There is a contagious rise of preachers and Christians becoming willing participants to endorse this false theology. Many of this persuasion propagates directly and indirectly that “Everyone is saved and goes to heaven;” This is due in part to the desperate attempt to become contemporary in a culture and society that rejects the full counsel, statues and commands of a Holy God.

Jesus said “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” -Matthew 7:14

Men of influence are teaching that “the way” is not that straight anymore, and “many will find it”, which leads some to believe and embrace that Jesus somehow misspoke or changed His mind. This logic of thought is insinuated throughout their teachings.

With the continual promotion that “we are all Gods children” a merge of light and darkness becomes the order of the day. The idea to join the church with the world has become a popular ideology of world unity. Therefore, there is no need to become separated from the world or to come out from among them. Instead there be some in the church that anxiously pursue to coexist as one and exercise spiritual bipartisanship with the confidence that God would be impressed with this type of offering. Nonetheless, this type of theology is far from God’s heart. The Father has always called His people out to be separated unto Himself. This is demonic deception to create a mixture of kingdom mentality and world views for the consumption of people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. -2 Corinthians 6:17

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. -1 Corinthians 2:12

What’s most disturbing is the constant subtle and in some cases outright endorsements from preachers and pastors of churches that speak blessings and pronounces approval upon lifestyles of unbelievers, iniquity practicing people, that refuses and reject the full counsel, statues and commands of a Holy God. It has become deplorable that these leaders actually believe it’s no problem being married to the world.

You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.
–James4:4

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. -1 John 2:15

This embraced action by preachers and pastors soon enough builds and reinforce false framework systems of salvation and religion for people to enter in without the encounter of experiencing true brokenness, becoming humbled and repentant before a Holy God.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. -Luke 13:5

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. -Luke 24:27

-He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. -2 Peter 3:9

ICONIC SUPERSTARS

The desperate manifestations of pastors and leaders that seek to be accepted and popular among the world; can best be seen when dealing with iconic superstar people. They often demonstrate extreme excitement and fan fair especially when a person of iconic influential status mentions God, Jesus or Church. Never-mind the obvious ongoing antichrist, demonic lifestyle they are proudly propagating. The seduction of becoming star struck outweighs adhering to the patterns of authorized scripture.

When those representing the church behave in this manner, it appears as if we are desperate for Egypt’s approval, which communicates we have a possible identity crisis, appearing to be suffering from severe rejection. Of course, with this type presentation from the church, the world or Egypt feels no need to change, repent, and follow the God of Israel. In-fact they feel that they are actually doing us a favor by allowing us to be identified with them.

If you don’t believe it, began to examine the mannerisms and behaviors of those of iconic, superstar, influential world status as they interact with church. Do they often exhibit a Christ like nature? Do they have a passion for righteousness and obedience to please the Father? Do they feel compelled to turn from their old ways of iniquity?

Or do they use their influence, mammon, and popularity to manipulate and control compromising passive preachers to ease their conscience with inspiration and messages of empowerment? While at the same time naming the name of Christ and subscribing to church membership.

The truth be told, preachers that enable this type of behavior should be ashamed of themselves, moreover they should repent of their actions and positions or step down from representing a Holy King and His Kingdom.

Please let the record reflect that all people of iconic or superstar status do-not behave in such a manner as questioned above. Thank God for those who use their platform to demonstrate a true Christ like lifestyle based upon authentic repentance.

Universalism says include everyone. There are those that foster the position that if one is a gifted individual, pop superstar or that of an iconic stature; surely they deserve a ticket into heaven.

Universalism totally ignores rebellious, free will, antichrist lifestyles and then sanctions everyone into heaven. A pass is given to “practiced sin” and then enforced with the talking points of enablers. “Statements of justification” are made like “their sin and lifestyle really doesn’t matter; after all we all have shortcomings.”

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.- Isaiah 58:1

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.-Isaiah 59:2

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? –Romans 6:1

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
–Romans 6:15

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.–James 1:15

I understand the compassion and desire to see men receive salvation that only comes through Jesus Christ, but we must be careful to not become so zealous and unwise that we get caught in the seductive process of demonic influences and began to embrace false doctrine all in the name of love, compassion, and unity.

The authority of the word of God and the integrity of obeying our King must take priority over all passions, ideology, and opinions.
